The Bulkley Valley Teachers Union hosted a School Trustee All Candidates Forum on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at The Old Church in Smithers.
The forum was an opportunity for community members to get to know the candidates seeking election as School Trustees for School District 54, hear their perspectives on public education, and learn more about how they would approach the role of trustee.
Candidates responded to questions focused on:
- Personal and community connections
- Experience and approach to the role
- Decisions and priorities for public education
The goal of the evening was to help voters learn more about the people seeking to represent our communities before casting their ballots.
